Going to a graduate school is a personal investment in your career. I would also like to complete my PhD and aim for a new position in my workplace.

Research on location finding using wireless communication for emergency situations

I enrolled in the Master's programme because I wanted to advance my career by obtaining a degree. I chose IISEC because I prioritised the proximity to my current location over my original specialised field. However, I realised that information security is actually closely related to the location-based service that I work with, and this attracted my research interests. I wrote a dissertation with the theme related to location information, "Caller locations in ad-hoc networks." This is a method of knowing the location of the caller between devices that communicate wirelessly. The location can be determined without the need for communication stations or GPS. This graduate school is also a great place to study information security, regardless of whether you are a humanities or science student. You may find that there is more of a connection between your interests and information security than you think.

I have naturally developed the ability to think logically, solve problems and make presentations

When you become a mature student and attend graduate school with your own money, you take it much more seriously than you used to. Your time seems much more precious and it makes you realise how grateful you are to be able to study at the graduate school. In particular, classes here involve many discussions and presentations, which have improved my ability to think logically, to find and solve problems, and to give presentations. Originally my purpose was to advance my career, so I think it was the right investment for me. I am currently pursuing my PhD. In addition to my work experience, I would like to aim for a new position in the workplace with my PhD degree and skills I have improved at IISEC.
