Research into biometric security systems that are both secure and convenient.

Enhanced information security creates a more convenient and prosperous society

It is the company's responsibility to contribute to society as well as to pursue profits. I believe that studying information security, which is in high demand in society, fulfils both of these needs. Security has an image of protection. However, if the convenience of the system is sacrificed, the system itself may fall into disuse... As Principal Tsujii said, "Enhanced information security creates a more convenient and prosperous society", I would like to consider a security system that is not only safe but also easier to use.

Retina-based biometrics for safe and easy-to-use security

From this point of view, I plan to study biometrics under the guidance of Prof. Itakura. In addition to combining existing authentication methods, I aim to produce a research result that solves the problems of retina-based biometrics. I believe that the experience of studying information security in depth and breadth through this research project, will give me the ability to propose better solutions when building systems for our customers.

I was able to fill a gap in my knowledge that is relevant to my work

The IISEC curriculum covers not only technology, but also ethics and law related to information security. This allows me to broaden my horizons and relearn my field of expertise in a systematic way. I have been able to absorb the missing knowledge here, which I believe will be very useful for my work.
