Student Interviews

It is a pleasure to study at a graduate school. I am researching security that is easy to use for many people.

I decided to enrol after "trying out" the free lectures

I believe that information security will become increasingly important as information networks become the infrastructure of society. This is what I have been thinking since university, so I studied security in my own way. Then I felt the limits in self-study and I decided to go to the graduate school. After I found out about IISEC, I attended more than 10 free public lectures. I would recommend the free lecture to anyone thinking of going to IISEC, as you can learn from the teachers, leading researchers and industry people, and also find out about this graduate school.

Unlike at university, I can research specific topic of my interest deeply

When I was at university, I studied what I was given, but this graduate school is mainly for working people who study with a clear theme. It stimulated me to learn more proactively. The lessons include real-life examples of intrusion, law, and human management for security, all of which are of interest to me. I feel more motivated and enjoy learning more about the areas I am interested in. I joined Prof. Koyanagi's research lab, which focuses on secure systems. I would like to create a system that is safe to use without having to be aware of security measures.

I'm interested in working for an information security company or teaching security

My primary goal after completing my Master's degree is to work for an information security company. In the future, I would like to consider taking an educational role within the company or working for educational institutions, with the aim of raising security awareness among many people.
