Learning the high level of security knowledge required for the construction of governmental systems.

For the safety required of public sector systems that are considered social infrastructure

The public sector system that I am involved with is the foundation of society. The information we handle is often very important and requires a high level of security. As various mechanisms are being more and more systematised, I thought that it is necessary to design a more robust security when developing such a system, so I decided to study at this graduate school.

Shifting the focus from information management of radio tags to understand the essence of the system

I wanted to develop my knowledge of technology, so I'm glad that here, I can learn the basics of security technology and information devices. In addition, I like the fact that I can learn about the whole picture of information security from various angles, through "information security presentation exercise" and classes on ISMS. The theme of my current research is information management, applying radio tags, which interests me in my work. I joined Professor Tanaka's research lab, and he advised me to "first gain a broad knowledge of information devices, and then pursue your research theme while considering the nature of security." In the future I would like to become a security technology expert who can give advice according to the situation.

At first, I was worried that "I would be too busy with work to study." However, since I started studying here, I find it refreshing to gain new knowledge and I really enjoy my student life. It has also had a positive impact on my work at the office, as I am now able to concentrate on getting results in a shorter time.
