Researching on communication services that combine user convenience and security with state-of-the-art authentication technology.

A move to a department specialising in security led to enrolling in IISEC

I had been interested in information security since I was in charge of network operations in my company and wanted to move to a department specialising in security. Then, I was told that I will be transferred to the Security Operations Centre from June 2007. I thought it would be a great opportunity to acquire professional knowledge, so I decided to take advantage of the company's scheme and enrolled in this postgraduate course.

Researching into authentication technology to ensure the safety of valuable user information

I like the fact that we can study not only technical fields but also management fields in IISEC. This broad knowledge will be useful for my work in the Security Operations Centre. My research topic will be authentication technology. Today's mobile phones are devices that store a wide range of information, including important personal details, electronic money, and house keys. I would like to research devices and services that use authentication technology, to provide both convenience and security for the user.

The key to "studying while working" is to be able to switch between study and work

Before entering IISEC, I couldn't grasp the image of "studying while working," but now I feel that switching my mind is one of the key points. If you keep thinking about your work while you are at IISEC, you will not be able to concentrate on your studies, and in the end neither will work. I'm looking forward to coming here every time, because it's interesting to study at a graduate school where I can learn cutting-edge knowledge.
