Student Interviews

I was impressed by the fact that IISEC lectures are offered by teachers who are active on their front line! The number of motivated students is also a stimulus.

You can complete the course while working in a company

I changed my job last year, after working on the development of FIPS 140-2 certified cryptographic modules at my previous employer. I now use my knowledge and experience to work as an in-house security consultant. Through the implementation of cryptographic modules, I was so interested in the theory, that I decided to study it personally at a graduate school specialising in the same area. What I particularly like, is that I can complete this postgraduate course by attending classes after work, during the week or on Saturdays.

Interaction with teachers and mature students in various fields of security

Discussions with prominent professors, including Principal Tsujii, and working students who are active in society, are all a major attraction of IISEC. I hold a CISSP certification, but I don't have in-depth knowledge in all areas. Through discussions with highly motivated people, active in research and the industry, I hope to gain an in-depth knowledge of each security area.

I want to be a security expert who does not distinguish between research and business

Being in this environment, I want to develop into a person who can deal with both research and business. I believe that this is an essential skill; to be able to respond to fast changing security situations.
