I want to create a safe environment for the use of essential security mechanisms, such as authentication for various web services.

I chose IISEC because it gives me the practical skills required for my first career

My polytechnic university had a strong emphasis on practical skill development, with students being able to study programming from the first year. Naturally, I wanted to develop my skills to be useful in society at postgraduate level, so I considered IISEC. I decided to study here because the information security sector has great potential for growth and it is a subject I am interested in.

Information security has become an important infrastructure for modern society

Authentication on the Internet, for electronic money, and for various WEB services. Information security has already become a key infrastructure for modern society. The knowledge and skills you will learn here will be very important in the future. The current students are mainly working professionals involved with information security in various industries, and there are many opportunities to initiate discussions with them in the laboratory. It has also provided me with useful knowledge for my industry research and other job hunting activities.

A good balance between security and its management

My dream is to be a software developer in the security sector. As well as the modules on the Systems Development course, I am also taking some management modules which you can learn development teams and organisational management. I also found it interesting to interact with mature students, as you can get to know what is actually like at their workplace. Through these interactions, I was able to improve my basic communication skills required for working.
