How can I use the results of data mining from multiple companies without leaking each other's content?

I feel more motivated to learn about information security

We have "Secure Systems Exercises," in which students use vulnerabilities to break into the university's test servers. As well as "Information Security Presentation Exercise," in which students take turns presenting their research and hearing approaches from different fields such as psychology and law. This postgraduate course offers a unique opportunity to learn about information security from experience and to gain a broad knowledge of the subject. Before entering IISEC, I was like "Internal control? What does it have to do with information security?" I am now more willing to learn about security topics outside my area of expertise by buying books and researching them myself.

How to keep data confidential without encryption, when sharing data between companies

My current research theme is data mining. The idea is to analyse the purchase history of consumers to identify trends and other information that can be used to inform corporate strategy. Using data from more than one company may improve accuracy, but most of that data is a trade secret. I would like to process mined data without knowing the contents of the data from other companies and share only the results. In order to achieve this, I am researching ways to use hash functions, which enables high speed processing, as encrypting data requires a huge amount of processing.

Time to talk to other students from different labs

I enjoy the "weekday tea time" on weekday evenings, when students gather on the ground floor for a chat. Hearing stories about different laboratories broadens my horizons. In my job I am involved in supporting security products. I hope to use the wide range of knowledge I have acquired to make business proposals.
